WiFi+ — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 September 2026
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the WiFi+ Android application published by DMC Solutions (“we”, “us”). It explains what the app does with information on your device and which third-party services it relies on.
Information processed on your device
To do its job, WiFi+ reads technical information about your Wi-Fi and local network, including:
- Your connected Wi-Fi network details (network name/SSID, signal strength, channel, band, link speed, security type);
- A list of nearby Wi-Fi networks found in a scan;
- Devices discovered on your own local network during a LAN scan, and their response times;
- Signal-strength and performance measurements over time.
This information is used only to display diagnostics and recommendations inside the app. It is processed on your device and is not transmitted to us. It is not stored on any server we control, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.
Location permission
Android requires apps to hold location permission in order to read the name of the Wi-Fi network you are connected to and to list nearby Wi-Fi networks. WiFi+ requests location permission only for this purpose. The app does not track your geographic location, does not store your location, and does not share it with anyone. You can deny or revoke this permission in your device settings at any time; some Wi-Fi details will simply be unavailable.
Internet speed test
When you run a speed test, the app transfers test data to and from a third-party speed-test provider (currently Cloudflare) to measure your download speed, upload speed, and latency. Only test traffic is exchanged; the app does not send the provider any personal information. As with any internet connection, the provider can see your device's IP address. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
WiFi+ is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google and its partners may collect and process information from your device, including a device advertising identifier, IP address (which gives an approximate, city-level location), device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
- The app requests non-personalized ads by default.
- This ad data is handled by Google, not by us. See Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and limit ad personalization, in your
Android settings under
Settings → Privacy → Ads(wording varies by device).
The optional “Remove Ads” feature lets you watch reward ads (also served by Google AdMob) to turn ads off temporarily; it does not collect any additional information from you.
Information stored on your device
The app saves a small amount of data locally on your device only: your chosen language and the expiry time of any ad-free period you have earned. This never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Information we collect
We do not operate accounts and do not collect personal information directly. We do not sell your data. The only data processing associated with the app is performed by the third-party services described above (Google AdMob and Cloudflare), under their own privacy policies.
Children
WiFi+ is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data security and retention
Because the app keeps its data on your device, that information is protected by your device's own security and is removed when you uninstall the app. Data handled by Google AdMob and Cloudflare is retained according to their respective policies.
Your choices
- Revoke location or nearby-devices permissions in your device settings.
- Reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings.
- Uninstall the app to remove all locally stored data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Effective date” above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be reflected in an app update.
