Hot Blocks — Privacy Policy
The short version. Hot Blocks has no accounts and asks you for nothing. We do not collect, receive or store any personal information about you. Your scores and game progress are saved only on your own device.
The game is free and shows ads through Google AdMob. Google's advertising software collects some device data to show and measure those ads, as explained below.
1. Who we are
Hot Blocks (dev.dmcsolutions.hotblocks, "the app") is developed and published by
DMC Solutions ("we", "us"). If you have any question about this policy or your privacy,
contact us at [email protected].
2. What the app keeps on your device
To work, the game saves a small file on your device containing:
- your best score;
- whether you have played before (so the first game starts in the first zone);
- a few statistics about how your recent games went — your usual score per game and per zone — which the game uses to gently adjust its difficulty to suit you.
This file never leaves your device. It is not sent to us or to anyone else, and we cannot see it. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data in your Android settings.
3. Advertising — Google AdMob
The app shows a banner ad and offers optional rewarded video ads (for example, to resume a paused game or to revive once after losing). These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To deliver ads, measure how they perform and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK built into the app automatically collects the following and sends it to Google:
| Data | What it is | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| IP address | Your device's internet address, which can be used to estimate your general location (such as your country or city — never your precise location) | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Device identifiers | Your Android advertising ID and app set ID | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Ad interactions | Things like app launches, ad views and taps | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
| Diagnostics | Technical information about how the app and the ad software are performing | Advertising, analytics, fraud prevention |
This data is encrypted in transit. It is collected and used by Google under Google's Privacy Policy; you can read how Google uses information from apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. We do not receive this data ourselves — only anonymous totals, such as how many ads were shown.
Your consent. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google's consent message before personalised ads are shown. You can choose to see only non-personalised ads, and you can change your choice at any time from the gear on the title screen, under Privacy settings. Where the law of your US state gives you the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for advertising, Google's messages let you do so.
4. Your choices
- Change your ad consent: tap the gear on the title screen, then Privacy settings, to reopen Google's consent options (shown where your region requires them).
- Reset or delete your advertising ID: on most Android devices, open Settings → Google → All services → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Deleting it stops apps, including this one, from using it for ads.
- Personalised ads: you can turn off ad personalisation for your Google account at Google's My Ad Center.
- Remove everything stored by the app: uninstall it, or clear its storage in Settings → Apps → Hot Blocks → Storage.
5. Sharing your score
If you tap Share score, the app opens Android's standard share menu with a message containing your high score and a link to the app. You choose where it goes — for example a messaging app — and it is sent by that app, not by us. We never see what you share or who you share it with.
6. What we do not do
- We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- We do not require you to create an account or sign in.
- We do not run our own analytics or tracking, and we do not sell your personal information.
- The app contains no in-app purchases and no chat or other way to talk to other players.
7. Children
Hot Blocks is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will help to have it addressed.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or under US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information. Because we do not hold any personal information about you, requests about advertising data are best made to Google, using the tools above or Google's own privacy controls. You are always welcome to contact us at [email protected] and we will help.
9. Security and retention
We store no personal information on our own systems. Data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit and kept by Google in line with its own retention policies.
10. International transfers
Google may process the advertising data described above on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in its own policies.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and its effective date. Any significant change will be reflected in the app's Google Play listing.
